Manchester United transfers: Fulham plan outrageous £26 million offer for ‘disastrous’ Ten Hag signature, and sale approved.

According to sources, Napoli is interested in a player who had a ‘horrific stint’ at Manchester United, but Fulham is ready to make a big deal. Erik ten Hag’s success percentage with signings has been called into question. Lisandro Martinez has achieved great success. Christian Eriksen and Casemiro had excellent debut seasons at Old Trafford, but both have declined significantly since. Tyrell Malacia’s effect has been minor, as has Mason Mount’s, due to injury. The jury is still out on Andre Onana, but Jonny Evans was a wise free agent signing, and Rasmus Hojlund has shown signs of being a good long-term investment.

A succession of loan signings have also been approved, with Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat joining ahead of the current season. Reguilon was transferred back to Tottenham in January, and Amrabat’s time in Manchester has been anything but fruitful. Manchester United paid a high loan fee of £8.5 million to sign the Moroccan midfielder from Fiorentina. In addition, the arrangement includes a £21.4 million purchase option. Amrabat has struggled in the Premier League, playing only 646 minutes, part of which came while filling in for an injured left-back. Various sources have verified that Manchester United would not exercise their option to buy in Amrabat’s deal. The 27-year-old will return to Fiorentina, although he is not anticipated to stay for long.

A permanent sale will be considered, and despite Amrabat’s ‘horrific spell’ in the Premier League, Fulham are reportedly willing to take a large risk. According to reports, Marco Silva’s side is willing to commit to a €30 million/£26 million package to offer Amrabat a chance to prove his skeptics wrong in England. It was unclear whether signing Amrabat would be contingent on first selling Joao Palhinha. The two players play in the same position, and Palhinha is one of the Premier League’s greatest holding midfielders. Palhinha was close to joining Bayern Munich last summer, and after another fantastic season, he will not be short on transfer interest from big clubs this time around.
