San Diego State University Transfer Micah Parrish Commits to Ohio State

Ohio State added a good piece for the upcoming 2024-25 season today with the announcement that San Diego State guard Micah Parrish has committed to the Buckeyes.

Parrish is a senior who has spent the past two seasons at San Diego State. Last season, as a starter for the Aztecs, he averaged 9.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists. He struggled with his shot, shooting 39% from the field and 29.2% from three.

The 6’6″ wing played his first two seasons at Oakland before spending the last two with the Aztecs. Ohio State is hopeful Parrish can rediscover his shot again after a career-low three-point shooting % previous season. Parrish also brings postseason experience, following

San Diego State reached the championship game two years ago and the Sweet 16 last month.

 

So far this summer, Ohio State has added three transfers: Parrish, Meechie Johnson Jr. from South Carolina, and Aaron Bradshaw from Kentucky. Parrish will have one season of eligibility left.
