15 Lions players are assigned numbers, but Jameson Williams declines the number one.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams runs for a score against the San Francisco 49ers during the first half of the NFC Championship NFL football game in Santa Clara, California. Allen Park — Seven Lions players are changing jersey numbers for next season, but Jameson Williams isn’t one of them. The valued receiver wore No. 1 at Alabama, and there was some speculation he may try to claim the number now that Cam Sutton is no longer employed by the Ford family. Unfortunately, Williams is staying with No. 9. While he has not commented on the topic, it is worth noting that a recent NFL rule change requires players to purchase the league’s inventory of uniforms when changing numbers.

No. 27, Zonovan Knight (formerly 28) No. 28 Jermar Jefferson (Previously 39) No. 52 Netane Muti No. 71 Kevin Zeitler No. 92 Marcus Davenport Number 95 Mathieu Betts
