Report : First contacts’ made – Liverpool told discount £38.4m fee will ‘force’ signing

Teun Koopmeiners, a Dutch international, is extensively associated with Liverpool, and today we have another news from Italy.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport (news image provided below), the midfielder’s agent will travel to Italy next week to discuss his client’s future plans.

Liverpool prepared to stage an offer to sign the £87 million star – Decision taken.

According to the Milan-based newspaper, agents have already prepared the groundwork for Koopmeiners’ departure from Atalanta this summer.

Juve are said to be in prime position to hire him, but Liverpool’s presence could complicate matters for the Old Lady.

According to Gazzetta, Liverpool made their ‘initial contacts’ for Koopmeiners in February of this year, and if the talks progress, the Bianconeri could be in trouble.

The market says that Atalanta values the 26-year-old at 60 million euros; however, according to GdS, a discounted cost of at least £38.4 million (45 million euros) would be sufficient to ‘force’ the move.

Koopmeiners wants to compete in the Champions League, while Liverpool has already qualified for the following season’s competition.
