The great Phil Thompson of Anfield stated earlier this month on Sky Sports (via Goal) that he believes Coutinho is a creative genius and that the Reds should re-sign him. The South American decided to relocate despite Klopp’s warnings against it, and he is now deeply regretting it. We are aware of the 27-year-old’s abilities. For us, he was flawless during the first part of but left us in the second half of the 2017–18 season, believing that the grass was greener in Spain. We won the Champions League the previous season and are in contention to win the Premier League this one without him.
