Report: Wolves coach gives a big hint, setting Liverpool and Man City on alert for a $137 million pair.

After acknowledging that Wolves might have to sell some of its best players even if they are guaranteed survival for another season, Wolves manager Gary O’Neill has issued a warning to Liverpool and a number of other Premier League teams. Wolves, who are presently ranked 12th in the league, can be confident that they will play in the top division next season since they have no fear of falling into the Championship. Though the Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) are causing havoc this season with Everton and Nottingham Forest receiving point deductions, many Premier League clubs are starting to tighten their belts due to the league’s serious crackdown on financial prudence. As a result, clubs are being less reckless than in previous years.

Many Wolves players, including Hwang Hee-chan, Pedro Neto, Matheus Cunha, João Gomes, and Rayan Aït-Nouri, have been linked to moves elsewhere this summer. They might all depart if the appropriate offer comes along. Particularly the latter, who has shown promise at left-back for O’Neill’s team, has recently been linked to a move to Liverpool. According to The Mirror, the Reds, Arsenal, and Manchester City are all interested in signing the Algerian. Prior to Wolves’ matchup with Crystal Palace at Molineux, O’Neil disclosed during his pre-match news conference that this summer could be uneasy for supporters: Without selling a player, “I don’t think there will be money available to us,” he stated. “The group is anticipating being able to support itself in the near future. However, these things are subject to change. I don’t think we’ll be spending a lot of money this summer. Because of his strong performances for Wolves this season and Andy Robertson’s injury difficulties, Aït-Nouri has been linked to a move to Liverpool. With just 22 league games played, Robertson has only three goals and two assists. However, last weekend’s 4-2 victory over Tottenham at Anfield showed that he was back to his best.

Wolves reportedly value Aït-Nouri at $62 million (£50 million/€58 million). This season, the 22-year-old has made 31 appearances for Wolves in the Premier League, tallying two goals and dishing out one assist. Another player who has been connected to Liverpool is Pedro Neto. The Telegraph revealed in March that both Man City and Liverpool were interested in signing the winger. With just 19 league games this season, Neto, who is valued at $75 million (£60 million/€69 million), has scored twice and given nine assists.
