Report: Liverpool is keeping an eye on a forward that Dominik Szoboszlai and Ibrahima Konate are familiar with.

As the summer transfer window draws near, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are just a few of the Premier League teams keeping a careful eye on Spanish attacker Dani Olmo’s circumstances, according to Spanish-language media.

Olmo’s £51.5 million release clause has fueled recent rumors about him, making him a desirable addition to elite teams looking to bolster their offensive line.

Sport, a Spanish publication, has reported that Barcelona would be thrilled to have their youth product, who is presently playing in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, return. Unfortunately, the club’s financial troubles have allowed several elite teams in Europe—particularly in England—to pursue the 26-year-old.

Olmo is well-known for his adaptability; he can play well in the middle, on either flank, or even as a false nine. In 25 appearances for Leipzig this season, he has managed to score eight goals and dish out five assists while battling ailments throughout. Olmo is expected to play a significant role for Luis de la Fuente’s Spain team at the European Championships in Germany this summer, assuming he stays fit. Because of his exceptional leadership abilities, the national team coach actually views him as a vital member of the team.

Liverpool would be able to reunite Olmo with his old Leipzig teammates, Ibrahima Konate, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Fabio Carvalho (who was briefly loaned to the squad earlier this year), in addition to bolstering their lineup. Liverpool, who are going through a transitional period following the resignation of Jurgen Klopp and the upcoming appointment of Feyenoord’s Arne Slot as manager at Anfield, are reportedly interested in Olmo. During this transitional phase, Liverpool is expected to be active in the transfer market; however, any deal involving Olmo is likely to be contingent upon the departure of one or more of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Luis Diaz.
