Report: Liverpool might sabotage Arsenal’s attempt to acquire Alexander Isak.

This summer, Liverpool has the potential to deal a blow to Mikel Arteta and company. The Premier League rivals Arsenal could be prevented from signing Alexander Isak of Newcastle United, who has been linked to a move to Emirates Stadium in recent weeks. As FFP pressures start to bite, Newcastle is thought to be open to a sale. A busy summer of intra-Premier League transfer activity is anticipated, with big-name players expected to move between different clubs in the division. The transfer of Alexander Isak to Arsenal has been suggested, with Newcastle under pressure to make sales.

However, if Liverpool made a huge money offer for another one of Newcastle’s key players, the Gunners’ plans to pursue the Swede could be derailed. The Daily Star reports that the Reds are considering making an unexpected approach for Anthony Gordon, a former star of Everton. Since moving to Newcastle for £45 million, Gordon has excelled, contributing 23 goals in fewer than 60 games. Due to his impressive play, the attacker has been called up to Gareth Southgate’s England team, and he is a strong contender to travel to Germany later this summer.

As a result, Liverpool, the 23-year-old’s hometown team, has taken notice of him and is considering him as a possible addition for their first summer transfer window following the departure of Jurgen Klopp. But, the Premier League winners for 2019–20 will probably need to pay a nine-figure sum if they want to entice Newcastle to sell. According to reports, Gordon, who was just voted Newcastle’s Player of the Season, would only be considered by the Magpies for an offer that was close to £100 million. Undoubtedly a high price, but if Liverpool approves the unexpected transfer, Arsenal’s chances of acquiring Isak may be hampered.
