Update: A reminder is sent to Liverpool amid discussions about a player’s “wonderful” exit.

This week’s Player of the Month award went to a great player who has been linked to an exit, giving Liverpool a reminder.

Luis Diaz shouldn’t be given easy access to depart. Luis Diaz was named the April Standard Chartered Player of the Month by Liverpool on Saturday. For the first time this season, the Colombian takes home the prize.

According to the announcement, Diaz won it very easily ahead of Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister, so it’s a well-deserved victory. Even though things didn’t always go his way, he was a bright spot in a month when Liverpool suffered mightily. Like everyone else, Diaz struggled in front of goal, but Liverpool’s attacks were always elevated by his drive with the ball. A few of his endeavors were unlucky as well; he often struck the woodwork in important fixtures. Overall, despite a very challenging start to the season, Diaz’s confidence has returned, and this was a well-earned reward for him. Liverpool is also reminded of this. LUIS DIAZ’S FUTURE This summer, Diaz has been connected to an exit. It seems that Liverpool is actually discussing it at the training facility; these are not simply idle rumors from the media. Granted, there are motives to profit, and Diaz has his own explanations for shoving in the direction of the exit. Still, it will cost a lot of money to get anything done. But is it really worth considering? When playing at his peak, Diaz is a fantastic player who rarely produces the same level of excitement in the crowd.
