Former Seahawks starter projected to get a $39 million contract with the Lions

The Seattle Seahawks, under new head coach Mike Macdonald, revamped their defense. In March, the Seahawks dismissed safety Quandre Diggs to make much-needed cap space available. Diggs’ $39 million deal was still in effect for another year. This season, he was due a salary of $10.4 million with a $21.2 million cap hit. The Seahawks were able to release the veteran, 31, and save about $11 million in cap room for 2024. After two months, Diggs is still a free agent. But Randy Mueller of The Athletic believes he’ll end up back with his old team, the Detroit Lions.
