Danny Murphy believes that after taking over, Arne Slot might instantly move one player in the Liverpool lineup.
It has been confirmed that Arne Slot would succeed Jurgen Klopp as manager of Liverpool. It was long anticipated that the Dutch manager would take over as head coach when Klopp’s tenure at Anfield ended. And Liverpool did not waste any time in announcing Slot’s arrival after the renowned German waved goodbye to his devoted fans on Sunday. Slot probably has his own opinions on certain Liverpool players. Trent Alexander-Arnold is one person who might gain from a shift in strategy. With his contract expiring, the right-back’s future is currently unknown. Murphy, though, says he believes Trent will sign a new contract and perhaps even shift to midfield under Slot.

Although it’s quite doubtful, the incoming manager might not think highly of him defensively at right back. That seems very implausible to me. He may play him in midfield if he doesn’t feel like starting him at right back. I believe Trent will sign because the manager will likely sit him down and tell him, “You’re going to play in midfield.” How Arne Slot may arrange Liverpool’s lineup For the sake of argument, let’s say that Slot does indeed assign Alexander-Arnold a starting position in midfield.
