Report: Liverpool Facing Potential Double Exit as Saudis Target Diaz and Gomez

New Liverpool head coach Arne Slot may have to manage without two key players next season, as Luis Diaz and defender Joe Gomez are linked with unexpected moves to the Middle East.

Slot, who started his role today (Saturday), replacing Jurgen Klopp, has requested new signings, including a central defender, with potential additions in midfield and attack as well.

While Mo Salah appears set to stay and be part of Slot’s revamped team, Diaz and Gomez have caught the attention of Saudi clubs. The Saudis are shifting their strategy to target players in their prime, making the 27-year-olds ideal candidates. Reports suggest both players might consider the lucrative offers due to uncertainty about Liverpool’s future success under Slot.

Saudi clubs are expected to test Liverpool’s resolve with substantial bids and tempting contracts for Diaz and Gomez. Diaz, in particular, might have several exit opportunities, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain also interested. Despite his successful season, no contract renewal discussions have occurred, encouraging potential suitors.
