Liverpool might secure a player similar to Diogo Jota this summer, with potential transfer deals worth $63 million being discussed.

Liverpool has been linked with forward Bryan Mbeumo, who has yet to score double figures in Premier League goals for a season. However, comparisons to Diogo Jota suggest a more favorable outlook.

In an ideal scenario for Liverpool this summer, Arne Slot could add three quality players to the squad: a center-back, a holding midfielder, and an attacker.

If Caoimhin Kelleher decides to leave or other players push for exits, more signings might be necessary. However, those three positions are the primary focus.

With Slot starting his role and Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes taking up new positions, Liverpool has been linked with several attacking players, including Crysensio Summerville and Anthony Gordon. Recently, French outlet L’Equipe reported that Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo is also on Liverpool’s radar. Despite Brentford’s reported $63 million asking price, Mbeumo’s goal record may seem underwhelming, but there’s more to his game.

Playing primarily on the right and cutting in on his left, Mbeumo could be a useful rotation option for Mohamed Salah, who struggled with injury and form last season. Mbeumo could be a good stylistic match for the team.
