Liverpool could sign ‘next Xabi Alonso’ for £12m within the next fortnight

Liverpool is one of the English clubs reportedly interested in Schalke’s talented young midfielder Assan Ouedraogo, who is available for just £12 million.
Initial links to a move to Anfield emerged in October, with Liverpool, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Brighton, and Everton all mentioned as potential destinations for Ouedraogo.
Shortly thereafter, talks with the 18-year-old’s representatives were reported in Germany, with Liverpool among the clubs reaching out.
Eight months later, Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has reported that Liverpool, Man United, Aston Villa, and Newcastle have all contacted Ouedraogo to explore a potential move to the Premier League.
According to Plettenberg, Ouedraogo is “waiting for a call from Bayern” to see if his preferred move to Munich will materialize.
