According to MARCA, a Real Madrid legend might reconsider his decision to leave the club this summer after head coach Carlo Ancelotti asked him to stay. Ancelotti has already bid farewell to Toni Kroos, who announced his retirement following the European Championships in Germany, starting on June 14.
Kroos had an ideal send-off, saying goodbye to fans at the Bernabeu during the last home match of the La Liga season and winning a record-tying sixth Champions League title against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.
Nacho, who also matched Kroos, Dani Carvajal, and Luka Modric in European Cup wins, might be leaving as well. Nacho, who captained the team in their latest triumph, had informed the club in April that he wouldn’t renew his contract expiring on June 30, ending a relationship that started in 2001. Although initially set for a new adventure, possibly with Inter Milan, MLS, or in Saudi Arabia, Ancelotti reportedly urged him to stay, saying, “Don’t do something crazy. Stay here, with us, at Real Madrid.”
