A head injury scare before the opening match of the 2024 European Cup

Another injury scare for Liverpool star Andrew Robertson could lead to his absence from the EUROs. According to Liverpool.com, Robertson sustained an injury that caused him to leave Scotland’s training session early, though he managed to walk off on his own, which is a positive sign.

Assuming no further complications, Robertson is expected to return after Scotland’s EURO opener. However, the 30-year-old has recently been plagued by injuries, and any setbacks during his recovery could result in him missing the EUROs entirely.

Despite his injuries, Robertson’s contributions to Liverpool have been significant. He made 30 appearances and recorded five goal contributions last season. There are few left-backs better than a fit Robertson.

Nonetheless, Liverpool should look to add depth to the left-back position this summer. Given Robertson’s recent injury history, having a reliable secondary option would benefit Arne Slot and his team.

Fortunately, Robertson’s latest injury does not appear to be serious. He should be able to recover soon, but if his situation doesn’t improve, this might be his last opportunity to play internationally.
