Liverpool has “heard information” about signing Brazilian player Fee Lowered for £33.8 million.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool have reportedly ‘received information’ about the possibility of signing Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz this summer.

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Aston Villa are facing Financial Fair Play (FFP) challenges and are considering selling one of their key players, with Luiz frequently mentioned as a potential departure.

La Gazzetta dello Sport indicates that Liverpool are interested in Luiz and have already ‘received information’ about the deal.

Aston Villa initially set a £59m price tag on Luiz, but recent reports suggest they have lowered their asking price significantly, now potentially accepting as little as £33.8m (40 million euros). This reduction makes it feasible for Liverpool to pursue the midfielder at a more reasonable cost.

However, Juventus are also interested in Luiz and have already begun negotiations with Aston Villa. Unable to meet the £33.8m fee, Juventus are offering players such as Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior in a part-exchange deal.

Luiz is a proven Premier League midfielder and has established himself as a key player for the Brazilian national team. If Liverpool manage to sign him, he would be a valuable addition to their squad.

Stay tuned for the latest updates on this transfer saga.
