For an irrational reason, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers skipped the New York Jets minicamp. Adams, Robin M.

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one of the most polarizing figures in sports. While he’s undeniably one of the greatest NFL players ever, his recent off-field activities have garnered more attention on daytime talk shows than his on-field performance. Rodgers hasn’t played since tearing his Achilles tendon in Week One of the 2023 season but has managed to stay in the spotlight.

Despite his injury, Rodgers continued his weekly appearances on the Pat McAfee Show, a tradition from his last few seasons with the Packers. With no games to discuss, his conversations often shifted to political issues and conspiracy theories. Notably, in one of his recent appearances, Rodgers insinuated that comedian Jimmy Kimmel was on the infamous Epstein List, sparking criticism for Rodgers, McAfee, and ESPN. This was just the beginning of a series of unusual interviews by the future Hall of Fame quarterback.

Rodgers’ off-season has been eventful, drawing attention for various reasons. Earlier this year, there were reports that presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. considered asking Rodgers to be his running mate. Additionally, Rodgers appeared on a podcast with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, where he praised Vladimir Putin and expressed a wish that President Joe Biden could discuss U.S. history as Putin does Russia’s, despite historians debunking Putin’s claims.

The most frustrating aspect of Rodgers’ offseason antics is his previous advice to reporters that the New York Jets should focus entirely on football.
