Robbie Fowler discusses his knowledge of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure from Liverpool.
The legendary player for Liverpool, Robbie Fowler, has now revealed what he knows regarding Trent Alexander-Arnold’s potential summer departure from Anfield. Real Madrid has once again shown interest in signing the England international Alexander-Arnold, who is being linked to the defending European champions as a long-term option to take Dani Carvajal’s place at right back. If Madrid were to make an offer for Alexander-Arnold, the 25-year-old fullback would very well depart Merseyside for the Spanish capital, as Arne Slot is rumored to have already found a successor for the defender. Therefore, I believe I can speak for every Liverpool supporter when I say that if Trent Alexander-Arnold signs a new, long-term contract at Anfield, we’ll all exhale with immense relief. As he approaches the last year of his contract, I’m aware that Liverpool wants to keep him, and I haven’t heard anything to suggest he doesn’t want to stay in love with the team. “Yet Liverpool are in risky waters until Trent dedicates the next chapter of his career to his boyhood team.” The Reds need to move quickly to tie Alexander-Arnold down. At just 25 years old, the defender was chosen vice-captain last year and is already one of the greatest players on the planet and a key role at Liverpool.
Amidst continuing ties with Real Madrid, the Reds must do every effort to bind Alexander-Arnold to a new deal because the fullback is too crucial for Arne Slot’s team to lose. Although Fowler’s remarks regarding the matter are positive, Liverpool supporters will continue to be uneasy about Alexander-Arnold’s future unless significant efforts are made. The player must stay on Merseyside this summer.
