Lions projection: T Taylor Decker Informed The Detroit Lions Management that he would only. Sign With A Different Team For One Reason…..

Lions maintain massive investment in O-line with three-year extension The Lions have made it a priority to continue investing in their offensive line this offseason, and that continued on Monday. General manager Brad Holmes announced that left tackle Taylor Decker is signing a three-year extension with the team, and Decker’s agent Jonathan Feinsod confirmed the news shortly after, posting on platform X, “Congratulations Deck!! Well earned!! No days off!” The three-year deal is reportedly worth $60M with $31.83M in guaranteed money, and it will keep Decker, who was approaching the final year of his contract, with the Lions through the 2027 season. In his eight years in the NFL, starting as the No. 16 overall choice in 2016, Decker has been a dependable blindside blocker despite occasionally giving up sacks (eight last season). Additionally, Detroit secured the services of other offensive linemen this summer besides the 30-year-old. In addition, the Lions inked left guard Graham Glasgow to a three-year, $20 million contract and right tackle Penei Sewell to a four-year, $112 million contract extension. Pro Bowl guard Kevin Zeitler was also signed by the organization for a one-year contract. The Lions averaged the second-most passing yards per game (258.9) and fifth-most rushing yards per game (135.9) in the league last season because of Decker, Sewell, and Glasgow, and they will be important players once more as they attempt  to pick up right where they left off.

The top teams in the league have all made significant investments in the trenches, and Detroit is doing the same after losing the NFC title game to the San Francisco 49ers by just three points. Additionally, it guarantees Jared Goff, the quarterback for the Lions, who was paid $212 million over four years in May, that he is well-protected as the team looks to make another long postseason run this year.
