Real Madrid agree to give €50 million to sign Cristian Romero today ……

Real Madrid, led by Carlo Ancelotti, is willing to pay €50 million to get Tottenham defensive veteran Cristian Romero. According to Doble Amarilla, Real Madrid is interested in signing Tottenham star Cristian Romero and is ready to make a formal offer of €50 million. While Los Blancos intend to make a strong push for his signature, negotiations with Tottenham will be difficult. Romero established himself at Atalanta before joining the North London club in 2021. It began as a loan move but was made permanent the following summer. Since joining the Premier League, the 26-year-old has only grown stronger.

Real Madrid interested in Cristian Romero

Romero has become Tottenham’s go-to defender, and his performances have not gone unnoticed. The Argentine World Cup winner is on Real Madrid’s radar. Los Blancos are always looking for players to help enhance their squad, and Romero is high on their wishlist because they need depth in central defence. Nacho Fernandez’s exit has left them a little weak at the back, and given the number of injuries they had last time out, they do require reinforcement. After missing out on Leny Yoro, who has joined Manchester United, Real Madrid appears to be ramping up theirinterestin the Tottenham staple.

With David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger both over 30, the club in white must find a perfect defensive partner for Eder Militao, and Romero clearly fits the bill. Real Madrid has requested information from Tottenham regarding transfer circumstances and is now ready to formalize their interest. Real Madrid will make an offer of €50 million.

Tottenham will not sell Romero.

While the Spanish giants are preparing to take the first steps toward signing Romero, they are unlikely to succeed because Spurs have deemed him non-transferable until December 2025. The North London club sees him as a key member of Ange Postecoglou’s new project and refuses to let him go.
