UNPLEASANT: After signing Ryan Sessegnon, Fulham have now bid for ‘outstanding’ target in ………

After acquiring Ryan Sessegnon, Fulham have now made an offer for a highly regarded Tottenham target. Following his departure from Tottenham Hotspur after five years, left wing-back Ryan Sessegnon chose to return to Fulham and Craven Cottage. Tottenham had great expectations for Sessegnon when they signed him in 2019, believing he had the potential to become a regular for the England national team. Unfortunately, injuries have plagued the 24-year-old since his move to north London, leading Tottenham to decide against renewing his contract. Fulham has taken a gamble by bringing back their former star, hoping he can fill multiple roles on the left side. Similar to Tottenham’s recent signing of Dominic Solanke, it appears Fulham’s spending spree is not over yet.

Ange Postecoglou is still aiming to strengthen his defense this summer, as it currently lacks sufficient depth for a Europa League campaign.

After Tosin Adarabioyo departed the club to join Chelsea on a free transfer, Fulham is also searching for a defender with a similar profile.

In light of reports suggesting that Tottenham is considering a move for Joachim Andersen, Fulham has recently had a bid for the Crystal Palace defender turned down. Fulham is in discussions to sign Tottenham target Joachim Andersen before the August deadline.

The 28-year-old Andersen has unexpectedly become a target for Spurs, despite Postecoglou’s current starting defenders being well-established.

Neither Andersen, Cristian Romero, nor Micky van de Ven would be content with frequent bench appearances this season – but that might be the level of competition Tottenham is looking to create. According to journalist David Ornstein, who shared his report through The Athletic, Fulham has submitted a £20 million offer for their former defender Andersen.

The offer is below Palace’s £40 million valuation, but talks between the two clubs are ongoing.

From Palace’s perspective, it would seem unusual to sell both Andersen and Marc Guehi in a single transfer window – with Guehi also being a target for Newcastle United.

Given Andersen’s impressive performances for Palace in recent seasons, one of Fulham or Tottenham might decide to meet the south London club’s asking price.

In other news, an intriguing report has surfaced about Lucas Bergvall’s immediate future at Tottenham.
