Exclusive: In bid to sign a £30 million star,

Fulham is “facing serious concerns.” Before the transfer window closes on August 30, Fulham is unsure if they can persuade Manchester United star Scott McTominay to leave his childhood team in favor of a new challenge at Craven Cottage. GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed that Chelsea manager Marco Silva has been looking for a new midfield presence after letting Joao Palhinha complete a move worth more than £47 million to Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich last month, but he is running out of time to find a suitable replacement.

Following a close loss to Manchester United to begin the season, in which Emile Smith Rowe made his Fulham debut following a record-breaking move from Arsenal, Fulham vice-chairman and sporting director Tony Khan has set his sights on strengthening the team. According to GMS sources, Fulham is seriously concerned about whether McTominay is willing to join the team before the rapidly approaching deadline. As a result, the west Londoners are keeping their options open even though they are keen to sign a contract with Manchester United, a Premier League rival, in the near future. The Scotland international entered the game late as his present employers defeated the Cottagers on Friday to start the season, but there is still concern over due to the fact that he is about to reach the last year of his £60,000-per-week contract, there is still a great deal of ambiguity over his long-term future at Old Trafford. As they look to replace Palhinha in the middle of the park, Fulham has no doubts about McTominay’s ability, according to GMS sources. However, there are concerns that he may not be convinced about joining Silva’s charges and how it fits with his personal goals at this point in his career.
