According to a report from L’Equipe this Wednesday, Fulham FC and Olympique Lyonnais have completed a deal of €15 million for the transfer of Rayan Cherki (21). The 21-year-old offensive midfielder has been training apart from Pierre Sage’s main Lyon team as he is pushed toward the exit door by his developmental club. Obtain Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain withdrew from the competition to acquire Cherki, opening the door for Premier League teams to make bids for the France U21 international, as exclusively disclosed by French Football News.

According to the publication, Lyon executives have recently agreed to accept Fulham’s €15 million offer to hire Cherki. When performance-related add-ons are taken into consideration, the Cottagers’ spending to sign the Lyon young player will increase to €20 million. Cherki hasn’t, however, reached a personal agreement with Marco Silva’s team or even agreed to leave Les Gones for a Premier League team. Lyon is in a desperate attempt to earn €100 million from player sales this summer, a goal they are well short of reaching. GFFN | Cheval Bastien
