Burnley transfer deal for £25M is approve to day

An agreement has been reached for Fulham to sign Burnley midfielder Sander Berge. Fabrizio Romano claims that a £25 million deal has been reached and the player will be joining the Cottagers. With most of their first-team roster from the previous season still in place, the Lancashire club had a relatively quiet summer in terms of departures during the transfer window. They also signed Jay Rodriguez to a new contract, triggering permanent options on two of their loanees. Aro Muric and Charlie Taylor may have left, but Scott Parker’s team appeared quite formidable heading into the season’s opening match. But since then, a few things have happened, including Wilson Odobert joining Tottenham Hotspur.

and Berge is now planning to move to West London. The Norwegian only joined Turf Moor this past summer, during a window of heavy expenditure, having previously been promoted from Sheffield United in 2023. Berge made an impression in Lancashire, even though his effect in front of goal was very limited. It appears that he has done enough to remain in the Premier League despite the Clarets’ relegation earlier this year. The 2023–2024 season of Sander Berge at Burnley (Sofascore figures exclusive to league games) Looks 37 begins 34 Objectives 1. the Blades’ promotion back in the previous year, and as a result, he was able to conclude his time in South Yorkshire on a somewhat positive one. Sadly for the Clarets, it doesn’t appear that he will stay at Turf Moor to support Parker’s team in their attempt to get back to the top, something they might accomplish with or without Berge after an incredible 2024–25 season. Their victories over Cardiff City and Luton Town have sent them to the top of the Championship table.
