Wednesday marked the formal end of Detroit Lions training camp with a competitive scrimmage. It seems like players were hitting before they
even permitted to, and when the pads were installed, it most definitely didn’t slow down. They were fired up for their home audience, they were fierce against the Giants, and it all came together in their last scrimmage, which was one of their most physical workouts of the summer. A number of the series featured full-contact tackling, and one of the best examples of this team’s physicality comes from a play in which Amon-Ra St. Brown broke a few tackles and was stumbling toward the sidelines when Kerby Joseph suddenly appeared out of nowhere and THWACKED him out of bounds.
