Report Hull City have gone into the new season with two new goalkeepers

Hull City’s head coach Tim Walter claims that Ivor Pandur and Anthony Racioppi are in a direct competition for the top rank among goalkeepers. Pandur has started all two of City’s Championship games this year, while Racioppi, who recently completed a highly publicized transfer from Swiss club Young Boys, made his debut in the League Cup loss to Sheffield Wednesday. Though he made a major mistake on Wednesday’s second and winning goal, the large Swiss goalkeeper rebounded admirably and appeared confident with both hands and feet, fitting into Walter’s all-action style nicely.

Several supporters questioned whether he would be starting at Home Park as Walter’s top player after that performance against the Owls. However, the German manager claims Pandur deserves to wear the shirt for the time being and that he wants competition for positions all over the field.
