Done Deal: Fulham finalized a big contract , Crystal Palace is out ( More money $)

Contract finalized; Crystal Palace beat Fulham and Everton to sign a marquee player for £30 million.

After a lengthy summer of transfer rumors, it looks that the Arsenal academy graduate has finally agreed to a move. Eddie Nketiah, an Arsenal marquee acquisition, is about to join Crystal Palace, which will be a major setback for a number of Premier League teams, including Everton and Fulham. The Gunners had to drive a hard bargain to approve the 25-year-old’s departure, making the transfer race one of the longest-running stories in the Premier League this summer window. Despite only making ten league starts, Nketiah scored five goals in the Premier League last season. With a £30 million offer that Arsenal accepted last week, it seemed as though Nottingham Forest had forced their way into the lead, but Nketiah was unconvinced about moving to The City Ground, and the trade fell through. Marseille seemed to be close to signing the midfielder earlier this summer, but they were unable to convince the Gunners to drop their £30 million asking price.
