The former seventh-round pick of the Detroit Lions and the former defensive back are back in

ALLEN PARK — Even though he was drafted in the seventh round and is a traditional fullback in a passing era, Nick Bawden has persevered in the NFL. After being cut in Houston, the former fullback for the Detroit Lions and New York Jets will need to find a new place to live. Bawden will be dismissed after the Texans reach the 53-player roster requirement set by the NFL, according to the team’s NBC affiliate in Houston. In 2018, Bawden was selected in the seventh round by San Diego State, while Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn were in charge in Detroit. He remained with the Lions until 2020, at which point he spent a few seasons both on and off the field with the Jets. Bawden had a career-high 16 appearances.

ALLEN PARK — The Arizona Cardinals have released Bobby Price, an athletic defensive back who played for the Detroit Lions for three seasons, according to NFL Network. When Price was in Detroit, he moved from safety to cornerback. His ability to leap and his athleticism helped him make the move stick. During his three-year tenure with the Lions, Price played in 17 games, including two starts, and was a vital member of the special team. He played in six games during his previous season with the Cardinals, using special teams for all 120 of his plays. The 26-year-old Norfolk State product was placed on injured reserve midway through his final Lions season. Before training last year, he inked a contract with the Cardinals.
