Algerian winger completes a last-minute switch to Hull City

After finalizing an agreement to buy Algerian winger Mohamed Belloumi from Portuguese top division Farense, Hull City has made its fourteenth summer acquisition. The wide receiver, 22, signed a four-year contract with the option of a fifth with the Tigers for an undisclosed sum after the team paid an undisclosed sum to lure him to MKM Stadium. Belloumi is the first of two deadline-day additions on the wings, providing more pace and attacking danger. A deal to bring Abu Kamara in from Norwich City has also been completed. Belloumi started his career with the Algerian team GC Mascara before moving to Oran. In 2022, he joined a Portuguese team and has been in Europe ever then.

Leeds was drawn to Belloumi’s performance in Portugal’s top league last season, as he scored seven goals and provided five assists in 35 games for the Faro-based team. The Whites sent scouts to watch Belloumi play, but City has decided to make a permanent move despite apparent interest from other teams.
