According to reports, Benfica has made an approach for Fulham manager Marco Silva in recent days, hoping to take advantage of any uncertainty. Fulham’s start has been inconsistent. It has been an odd transfer window for Silva’s team,

following the loss of important player Joao Palhinha this summer when he eventually completed a long-overdue move to Bayern Munich. In addition to adding Sander Berge to replace Palhinha in the lineup and Joachim Andersen returning from Premier League rival Crystal Palace in a £25 million deal to try and replace Tosin Adarabioyo, who left on a free transfer for Chelsea, they broke their transfer record to sign wantaway Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.
