Report: The coach have sign a defensive lineman

Signing a defensive lineman, the Lions promote two players from their practice squad.

players available for the first game of the season against the Los Angeles Rams, adding defensive lineman Chris Smith to the 53-man roster and promoting defensive tackle Kyle Peko and receiver Tom Kennedy off the practice squad. Although Kennedy’s selection is surprising,

it is not shocking that the Lions are starting a second receiver in the contest. Only Jameson Williams, one of Detroit’s four receivers on the 53-man roster, is taller than six feet. The Lions had a lot of alternatives after signing Tim Patrick and Allen Robinson recently and keeping Donovan Peoples-Jones on the practice squad, leading to rumors that they wanted more size at the position.
