More than a year after Aleksandar Mitrovic left Fulham for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, the team still hasn’t found a comparable replacement for him. Vinicius isn’t expected to beat out Raul Jimenez and especially Rodrigo Muniz.
Under Silva, the former Tottenham Hotspur loanee is now a third-choice, therefore he might be forced to pursue a January departure. Although Silva lauded Vinicius’s performance against Luton Town last season, it remains to be seen if he would be willing to split ways with the forward.
According to Silva, speaking through West London Sports, “Not only did he score, which is obviously the most important thing for a striker, but he made the effect that we needed in that moment on the pitch.” The fact that Carlos scored was pleasing. It was good to see him take the lead for us and he deserved the opportunity to enter. We also value the competition (with Raúl Jiménez).
