Coach Robert Saleh got ready for a jubilant embrace from quarterback Aaron Rodgers shortly after Breece Hall dove into the end zone to give New York a 14-0 lead in the second quarter. Let’s all Jets fans exhale with relief. There’s no argument between the coach and quarterback in the Jets’ locker room. In preserving the two-score lead and giving up just 139 total yards and three points to a faltering Patriots offense, the Jets’ defense undoubtedly performed its job. Conversely, Rodgers led the Jets to their second victory of the season with 27 of 35 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns. Though it’s early, the Jets’ season is beginning to look up following a dismal and injury-plagued 2023 campaign. However, maybe this next week Rodgers and Saleh will have some time to calm down after their touchdown celebrations.
