Report: Months after making his first-team debut, Liverpool is poised to dismiss the 20-year-old attacker.

Soon after the season ends, Liverpool will reveal their names of players who have been released and retained. Mateusz Musialowski is anticipated to leave on a free transfer.

Fans will see the release of several players as an extraordinary summer of changes at Anfield, including the exit of Jurgen Klopp, looms. The contracts of Thiago, Joel Matip, and Adrian from the first team are about to expire, and there is currently no word on whether these three veteran players will sign new agreements. Musialowski, whose contract expires on July 1—not nearly four months after he made his first-team debut—is another who must move on. The 20-year-old Pole, who came on in the 73rd minute for Bobby Clark, was a surprise addition for the 6-1 Europa League victory over Sparta Prague in March. Though he hasn’t made another move, Klopp later stated that he thought Musialowski was now “ready” for senior football.

The dynamic forward’s departure at the conclusion of the season has long been anticipated; a move to TSV Hartberg fell through last summer, and in January, Birmingham and Leeds expressed interest but ultimately decided not to pursue the deal. There is an agreement in place that Musialowski won’t be courted by Polish clubs, as the player’s agent, Cezary Kucharski, disclosed in November. Kucharski clarified, “We agreed to a contract that said I wouldn’t try to convince him to go back to Poland.

We agreed when we signed the contract that I wouldn’t try to get him to go back to Poland, Kucharski said. He has the most offers from his native Poland, but I don’t want to convince him to go back there. Most teams are interested in him. “I believe he ought to move to Belgium, the Netherlands, or perhaps Switzerland.” Melkamu Frauendorf, a German utility player who has made two appearances for the first team under Klopp, is another young player who might advance. Due to injuries, Frauendorf’s campaign has struggled. It is thought that, having signed a three-year contract in 2021, his tenure at Liverpool will terminate at the end of the current campaign.
