Report: Three Barcelona players are being targets for a move of Luis Díaz by Liverpool.

Three Barcelona players are being targets for a move of Luis Díaz by Liverpool.

Barcelona has been linked with a move for Luis Díaz, a winger for Liverpool. If the Reds are willing to take an offer from the Nou Camp, they may reverse the situation.

It’s possible that Luis Díaz will not be leaving Liverpool for Barcelona at all. There’s uncertainty over whether the Catalans could come up with the money, and the Reds will, at the very least, be asking a high price for him. They might not even want to contemplate a deal. Still, there’s a degree of doubt there, if nothing else. Díaz has been associated with Barcelona, and his father has said in the past that he hasn’t “lost faith” that his son will eventually sign with one of the biggest teams in Spain. Liverpool is undergoing major changes in the meantime. First and foremost, Jürgen Klopp is going, and it is anticipated that Arne Slot would take over as manager. However, there have also been significant advancements

Instead of taking over as manager, Slot will take on the role of “head coach,” and other people will have the last word on any transfers and new contracts. The new sporting director Richard Hughes, the returning Michael Edwards (FSG’s football CEO), and Julian Ward (technical director) are all mentioned. That being said, it is not a certain that any of those modifications will force Díaz to leave. They might even accomplish the opposite goal. In the unlikely event that Liverpool is open to offers for the Colombian, it ought to attempt to reverse the situation by pursuing some of Barcelona’s best players.

Mundo Deportivo claims that Díaz is Barcelona’s top transfer target. However, in order to finance a transfer, the team would have to sell players. Liverpool may try to take advantage of this financial situation by pursuing the following three players in any potential trade. De Jong Frenkie Although not as much as Manchester United, Liverpool was linked to Frenkie de Jong a few summers ago, and they might do worse than to resume their chase of him. Even though the Reds signed four midfielders last season, they haven’t really added anyone who fills a similar role in that amount of time. The closest is Alexis Mac Allister, but even though De Jong is a talented craftsman, he is that little bit smaller.

The closest is Alexis Mac Allister, but De Jong is that much closer to being a true defensive midfielder even though he is also a talented technique. He is the prototype of a contemporary number six in a possession-oriented side, in many respects.

So why would Liverpool want to think about making a trade? To start with, since Torres is just 24 years old, a younger model would be provided. He also brings a great deal of versatility with him, having played every position on the front line this year. His underlying data is more amazing, but his numbers thus far have been strong if unspectacular. Torres has contributed 0.58 anticipated non-penalty goals per ninety minutes (FBref) on average over the past year. To put things in perspective, Salah is remarkably all the way up at 1.0, while Díaz is at 0.55. In fairness to Salah, though, Liverpool has not performed particularly poorly in the Premier League when it has handed wingers a second opportunity. Torres didn’t stay long at Manchester City, so maybe he might excel at Anfield.
