Surprise: Before the Klopp finale, a “world-class” Liverpool player RETURNS to the training ground

Three players have allegedly returned to first team training for Liverpool ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s farewell match as manager. According to The Liverpool Echo, Thiago resumed training this week in preparation for Liverpool’s match against Wolves this coming Saturday. This season, the Spaniard has only made one appearance, playing five minutes against Arsenal in the Premier League. But right away in that game, Thiago sustained another injury that would probably keep him out of action for the entire season. Given that he is a “world-class” player with abilities that set him apart from the competition, Liverpool has really missed him. But he seems to have received training.

Now, there wouldn’t be any logical reason for that unless Liverpool believed he could actually participate in the game on Sunday. Of course, this isn’t just any ordinary match.

It marks Jurgen Klopp’s final game at Liverpool, and potentially Thiago’s last appearance for the Reds as well, given his contract situation. The emotional farewell for the manager and the 33-year-old midfielder’s eagerness to play are undeniable.

Whether Thiago gets selected or remains fit for Sunday is uncertain. Hopefully, he gets the opportunity to bid farewell to Anfield and Liverpool, even if only for a few minutes.

In addition to Thiago, other players are making a return. Both Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota have resumed training and could feature against Wolves.

Robertson’s presence is particularly important, as he’s been a key figure in Klopp’s successful Liverpool team. This match signifies the end of an era for Liverpool, reminiscent of the glory days of the 1980s, with a new generation of Anfield legends emerging.

Sunday’s match provides a chance to showcase most of these players as Liverpool prepares to enter a new era. It’s bound to be a memorable occasion, regardless of the outcome.
