Days after signing, the Seahawks release 23-TD Quarterback

The Seahawks, as reported by Gregg Bell of The News Tribune, are releasing undrafted rookie quarterback Chevan Cordeiro from San Jose State University, who was the No. 1 quarterback in the recent rookie minicamp. Cordeiro, who transferred from Hawaii, was among 16 undrafted rookie free agents signed by the Seahawks before rookie minicamp, where he was one of three quarterbacks on the roster. Cordeiro, aged 24, spent six years in college, starting at Hawaii before transferring to San Jose State, where he had a successful career, including setting records in the Mountain West conference. Despite his release, it’s uncertain who Seattle will add as a third quarterback for training camp. Meanwhile, another participant in the Seahawks’ rookie camp, Taulia Tagovailoa, has accepted an invitation to the Arizona Cardinals’ rookie camp, offering him another opportunity in the NFC West.
