The 45-year-old will succeed Jurgen Klopp as manager of the Reds starting in the upcoming campaign, it has been confirmed. The Dutchman was seen yesterday night dining at Moor Hall Restaurant, indicating that he has already arrived in the area. Chef Mark Birchall is in charge of the Aughton-based Michelin-starred establishment. On the highly regarded restaurant’s official Instagram page today, the head chef posted a photo with Slot.
After leading Feyenoord to success, Slot has joined the Reds. The club made an official announcement on Monday confirming his arrival. “Liverpool Football Club can confirm Arne Slot has accepted to become the club’s new head coach, subject to a work permit,” the statement said. Arne Slot will officially start his new role on June 1, 2024. “He will now soon become the first head coach of Liverpool FC from the Netherlands,” the announcement continued. “His first pre-season leading the team is scheduled to begin in July.
