Report: Jonathan Tah will not be pursued by Liverpool this summer.

Jonathan Tah will not be pursued by Liverpool this summer.

In recent weeks, Liverpool has been linked to a summer transfer for 28-year-old Jonathan Tah, a defender for Bayer Leverkusen. Liverpool has reportedly chosen not to sign Jonathan Tah during the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The Reds have additional targets in mind, including Willian Pacho, a defender who plays in the Bundesliga. This season, Jonathan Tah has been an important player for Bayer Leverkusen, helping them win the Bundesliga. It will be interesting to watch where he ends up because he is anticipated to be moving this summer. He would have had a fantastic opportunity to transfer to Liverpool.

The German international has established himself in the Bundesliga and is currently at the top of his game. It would have been exciting to have the Premier League to show off his skills. Tottenham and Chelsea, among other English teams, have also expressed interest in him. It’s no secret that Liverpool needs to strengthen their defensive options in the interim. Whether they can add the proper players during the summer transfer window will be interesting to watch. Willian Pacho is one of the other center backs whom the Reds have expressed interest in.

Joel Matip will leave Liverpool this summer, and their defense has seemed weak this season. Liverpool should make it their first aim to sign a good central defender when the summer transfer window opens. In theory, Jonathan Tah would have been a great addition for them, but it’s still unclear who they ultimately choose. Since joining the team, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate have both experienced significant injury issues, while Virgil van Dijk is getting close to 30 years old. If they are to succeed next season, they will need greater depth in that area.
