Exclusive: Liverpool star to receive a ‘massive contract offer’ from Saudi Arabia with a surprising exit ‘not out of the question’.

Liverpool star Alisson Becker is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and Saudi Arabian clubs are interested in signing him, TEAMtalk sources have confirmed.

The Brazilian international joined Liverpool for £67m in 2018, contributing to their victories in five major trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League. Despite struggling with injuries this season, Alisson made 28 Premier League appearances, kept eight clean sheets, and conceded just 30 goals.

TEAMtalk sources revealed that the Saudi Pro League has identified Alisson as a primary target for the upcoming transfer window. They intend to secure a top-tier goalkeeper and see the 31-year-old as their ideal candidate. Negotiators from the Saudi League are prepared to offer Alisson a “massive contract” this summer.

This interest comes as Liverpool’s back-up goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is likely to leave, with Wolves reportedly interested in him as a replacement for Jose Sa.

Liverpool’s new manager Arne Slot hopes Alisson won’t be swayed by a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia. Sources close to Alisson indicate that he prefers to stay in Europe, aiming to continue playing in the Champions League and maintain his position as Brazil’s first-choice goalkeeper. He fears moving to Saudi Arabia could jeopardize his standing compared to other Brazilian goalkeepers like Ederson or Bento.

While Alisson hasn’t fully rejected the idea of moving to Saudi Arabia and is open to considering their proposal, it remains a challenging but not impossible deal. Liverpool would also need to agree to the sale, which would require a significant transfer fee given Alisson’s contract runs until 2027, meaning the club isn’t under immediate pressure to sell him.
