Dakorien Moore, a wide receiver from Duncanville, Texas, who is committed to LSU, stated he is still considering four universities, Ohio State included. He went to Ohio State for a spring practice as a member of the Buckeyes in March. Moore was subsequently supposed to return to Ohio State for the Buckeyes’ spring game the weekend of April 13, but that event had to be rescheduled. The new date was set for April 27. However, Moore’s mother, MJ Moore, told Bucknuts last week that they would work things out because her son was scheduled to participate in the OT7 7-on-7 tournament in Orlando, Florida, this weekend.

Ja’Had Carter of Ohio State logs into the transfer portal

After three seasons at Syracuse, Ja’Had Carter committed to Ohio State through the transfer portal in January 2023. 247Sports has learned that Carter is back on the transfer portal, some sixteen months after his initial appearance. Carter was rated as a three-star talent by 247Sports Composite after graduating from Richmond, Virginia’s Henrico High School in the 2020 recruiting class. He was ranked No. 49 in the class and No. 20 among players from his native state. Before attending Syracuse, Carter attended Jireh Prep Academy in Matthews, North Carolina, for a year. On February 5, 2020, he chose the Orange over scholarship offers from Marshall, Virginia Tech, Texas Tech, Florida Atlantic, and Virginia Tech.

Carter played at Syracuse for three seasons, starting 28 of his 31 games. Along with 3.5 tackles for a loss, five interceptions, seven passes defended, two fumble recoveries (one of which he returned 90 yards for a touchdown), and one forced fumble, he had 138 tackles altogether. Following his senior year, Carter was selected an honorable mention All-ACC player and a Freshman All-American in 2020.
