Holger Rune is not pleased with the reporter’s “brutal” remark following Novak Djokovic’s defeat.

Holger Rune responded to a journalist’s “brutal” question after his straight-sets defeat to Novak Djokovic. The match was anticipated to be Djokovic’s biggest challenge since his recent meniscus surgery, but the 24-time Grand Slam champion advanced to the quarter-finals with a 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 win.

Rune started poorly and struggled to regain momentum as Djokovic secured a Wimbledon quarter-final spot against Australian Alex de Minaur. After the match, Rune faced questions about his sluggish start.

A reporter remarked: “Starting with a 13-point deficit, especially considering Novak’s knee issues, is probably the worst strategy against Djokovic on Centre Court. You practically gave him the first set for free.”
