Liverpool report: Arne Slot expected to complete Feyenoord raid after Anfield arrival
Incoming Liverpool manager Arne Slot has been advised to take one of his main players with him to Merseyside. Prospective Arne Slot, Liverpool’s manager, is expected to raid his current club Feyenoord if his bid for the coveted position is successful. According to reports, the Dutchman is closing in on the post after the two teams agreed on a compensation sum to release Slot from his contract at the conclusion of this season. The Dutchman succeeds Jurgen Klopp, one of Liverpool’s most popular personalities, who announced his departure this summer after nine years in charge.
Slot’s possible arrival is shrouded in mystery following a transformative spell in Rotterdam. Feyenoord overcame a six-year league title drought under his leadership in 2023, after qualifying for the Europa Conference League the previous season. Prior to Liverpool’s 2-2 draw, Klopp expressed excitement over the potential of the Dutchman succeeding him, telling reporters: “I haven’t read anything, but Arne has mentioned something.
