After missing practice this week due to a hamstring issue, Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs will be “fine,” Detroit coach Dan Campbell announced on Wednesday. “I believe we will be alright here,” Campbell said on Detroit’s 97.1 The Ticket. “So, I believe we will succeed.” With 1,261 yards from scrimmage as a rookie in 2023, Gibbs, 22, was selected for the Pro Bowl. After being hurt, he left Monday’s practice. Alabama native Gibbs was selected with the 12th overall choice in the 2023 NFL Draft. In 15 games (three starts) last year, he caught 52 catches for 316 yards and another touchdown while rushing 182 times for 945 yards and 10 scores. The Lions begin the regular season on September and play their second preseason game at Kansas City on Saturday.
