SAD FOR DETROIT: Lions 1st-round pick is now arrested for…..

A former first-round choice of the Lions was jailed for reportedly peeing on a fellow traveler. A former first-round selection ha entered a not guilty plea to charges arising from an airplane incident. The Detroit Lions have had a wild offseason filled with brawls at training camp and numerous injuries. Gosder Cherilus, a former first-round selection of the Lions, was detained on Sunday. On a Boston to Dublin flight, the 40-year-old Massachusetts resident is accused of peeing on another passenger. According to CBS Boston, the former offensive lineman looked inebriated when he arrived at Logan Airport late on Saturday night for his flight. According to police reports, he entered the aircraft and, while it was in the air, peed all over an old woman. He entered a not guilty plea.

Gosder Cherilus, a former player for the Detroit Lions, had a successful NFL career.

On his way back to his seat, he is accused of hitting an elderly man. The jet returned to Logan at roughly two in the morning on Sunday after police were called to the airport. To arrest the 6’6″ Cherilus, two pairs of handcuffs were required.

In March 2013, he then inked a large contract with the Indianapolis Colts. With the five-year, $35 million contract, he became the NFL’s highest-paid right tackle. In his debut season with the Colts, he once more participated in all 16 games. He participated in 13 games in 2014 before suffering a knee injury that ended his season and sending him to injured reserve. After only two years of his five-year career, in July of 2015, Cherilus was waived by the Colts. After spending two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he participated in 27 more games until retiring in 2017. Cherilus had a strong career over his three stops, albeit his stint with the Lions is what most people remember about him.
