Report: Ex-Lions RB and former All-Big Ten star are back in the game ……

Mohamed Ibrahim, a former running back for the Detroit Lions, is back in the division, but this time he won’t be donning the Honolulu Blue and Silver uniform. Ibrahim has decided to join with the Minnesota Vikings, as per the agreement with his agent, LAA (Loyalty Above All). The agreement’s specifics were not made public. According to Jordan Schultz of NFL Insiders last week, Ibrahim was “approved for football activity and is fully healthy.” With the Vikings, Ibrahim, a 25-year-old running back, will have some comfort once again. He played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers during his whole five-year college career, totaling 4,668 career running yards and 53 touchdowns. He was named to the First Team All-Big Ten in 2020 and 2022 as a result of his accomplishments. 2020 saw Ibrahim as well

Following the draft, Ibrahim signed a short contract with the Lions after not being selected in the 2023 NFL Draft. Ibrahim suffered some injuries throughout training camp, and at the end of August, he was placed on injured reserve. A few days later, he was waived. In mid-October, Ibrahim rejoined the Lions’ practice squad in anticipation of their Week 7 encounter with the Baltimore Ravens, which saw him promoted to the starting lineup. Regretfully, injuries again sidetracked him and the Lions from contributing. During a kickoff return against the Ravens in the third quarter, Ibrahim dislocated his hip and needed to be taken off the field. Ibrahim was unable to return home because of the emergency surgery needed due to the severity of the injuries.
