Open the Doors to City Learn’s PDL Cup Groups: Exciting New Information!
The 2024–2025 Professional Development League Cup group opponents for Hull City Academy have been announced. The Under-18s will play in Group C of the famous youth tournament against Barnsley, Bradford City, and Doncaster Rovers. 28 clubs are split into seven groups of four for the Professional Development League Cup, which was created for the 2021–2022 season. The top team and the best second-place team go to the knockout stages.
Along with Sheffield United, Mansfield Town, Harrogate Town, and the best second-place club, City made history last season by making it to the knockout stages for the first time. After losing to Watford, the winners of Group F, the Tigers were eliminated in the quarterfinals, but Millwall became victorious after defeating Swansea City 3-1 in the championship match. In group C of the U16 Professional Development League Cup, the Under-16s play the same three teams twice, with both sets of games scheduled on the specified dates. Fixtures for the Under-17 Professional Development League Cup group D, which includes Grimsby Town, Doncaster Rovers, and Lincoln City, have not yet been set.
