Jets have finally signed their fifth round pick and He’s paid

The New York Jets inked a massive contract extension with their former fifth-round pick, making him the highest-paid player at his position.

In their season opener on Monday night, the New York Jets visit Levi’s Stadium to take on the San Francisco 49ers, the reigning NFC Champions. The 49ers have won 11 games while the Jets have won three in their 14 meetings with each other. The 49ers are favored by 3.5 points, while the over/under is set at 43.5 points. With a 7-10 record at the end of their catastrophic 2023 season, the Jets want to avoid a repeat of that season. After Aaron Rodgers sustained a season-ending Achilles injury on the fourth snap of Week 1, their offense was unable to bounce back. Their defense, however, continued to be among the best in the league, placing in the top 12 in terms of passing, takeaways, total yards, and points.
