Report: “Striking Gold: Klopp and Slot Deliberate Liverpool’s Player Prospects”

Slot discusses the possibility of acquiring particular players for Liverpool while consulting with Klopp.

Arne Slot, the manager of Feyenoord, maintains that “if a player is good, it shouldn’t matter what level he comes from” in the face of rumors that several of his current players are linked to Liverpool. After the German coach revealed earlier this year that he will be departing Anfield at the conclusion of the season to take a vacation from sport, there have been numerous speculations suggesting that Slot’s official appointment as Jurgen Klopp’s successor is only a matter of time.

Even though Slot is still in charge of the Eredivisie team, he has been unusually transparent in press appearances about his desire to take over as manager of Liverpool. The Feyenoord player is unsure of when his move to Liverpool will be official, but he is still “optimistic” that everything will work out. Prior to Slot’s arrival, Liverpool had previously been connected to Lutsharel Geertruida and Mats Wieffer of Feyenoord, and former Everton director Marcel Brands had advised him against bringing in too many Dutch players.
